Catapult Community · for women who host gatherings

magic needs architecture.

You already know how to make a room feel something. Catapult helps you build what happens after everyone goes home: a sisterhood that keeps coming back, even when you take a break.

Sound familiar?

great nights don't build communities.

The magic scatters.

It sparks at every event, then scatters the second everyone goes home. The group chat goes quiet three days later.

Every event starts from zero.

The cold start before every gathering: chasing the room full again, reinventing the wheel.

It's all on you.

You're the entire engine. If you stop, it all stops, and the thing you love slowly turns into a job.

It costs more than it gives.

You pour in the time, money and energy, and quietly pay for it out of your own pocket.

No one else steps up.

Everyone loves the community, but no one feels it's theirs to hold. You ask for help and hear crickets.

You can't take a break.

Disappear for a month and the community disappears with you. Even a vacation feels like a risk.

The weaver's manifesto

build it right. they will come.

Most communities don't fail from lack of passion. They fail because there's nothing holding them up between events. So we build that. We don't light fires. We teach women to carry the flame, and no woman should burn out or go broke to keep it lit.

What AI can build for you

the website, the content, the brand kit, the launch plan.

Useful. Fast. And none of it makes a single woman feel like she belongs.

What only a human can do

hold the room, open doors, build real relationships.

Keep you accountable. Read the energy and adapt in real time. That's the work, and it's the part we build together.

The method

three parts to a community that lasts.

Part 1

Weave the Threads

Women bond to each other, not only to you, so "that was an amazing night" becomes "these are my people."

  • Simple practices and activities that help women open up
  • Introductions that pair women up
  • Staying in touch after the night

From loose threads to real connection.

Part 2

Set the Rhythm

There is always a next thing to come home to, so the community never falls into dead air.

  • A full year of gatherings, planned
  • Small ways to stay close between events
  • An easy way back for anyone who drifts

From silence between events to a steady rhythm.

Part 3

Weave the Web

Leadership spreads, so it holds without you carrying it. You become the weaver, not the engine.

  • Clear roles that others can take on
  • Your first co-leaders
  • A clear path for newcomers to join and step up

From all on you to shared by many.

Underneath it all · Feeling first

A trick from my 8 years of teaching: start with how you want women to feel when they leave, then plan everything to get them there.

  1. 01 Picture how you want them to feel
  2. 02 Map the gathering from start to finish
  3. 03 Set up the space and the ground rules
  4. 04 Build the habits that bring them back

Why it works · the science of sisterhood

women are wired to gather.

Catapult is community building on matriarchal principles: shared leadership, care built into the structure, and a circle that carries itself instead of one woman carrying everything. It isn't just a nice idea. It's how we're built.

Tend and befriend

under stress, we reach for each other.

UCLA psychologist Shelley Taylor found that women often meet stress by tending and befriending: gathering, caring and leaning on each other. Her team linked it to oxytocin, the hormone tied to bonding and trust.

Taylor et al., Psychological Review, 2000

Friendship takes hours

one night is a beginning, not a bond.

It takes about 50 hours together to go from acquaintance to casual friend, about 90 to become friends, and over 200 to become close. That's why Catapult designs what happens between your events, not just the night itself.

Hall, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, 2018

Moving as one

dancing in sync makes us closer.

Oxford researchers found that dancing in synchrony raised pain thresholds, a sign of the body's feel-good endorphins, and made people feel closer to each other. Music, shared moments and moving together are bonding tools, and we use them on purpose.

Tarr, Launay, Cohen and Dunbar, Biology Letters, 2015

The 8-week cohort · starts Tuesday, January 19, 2027

from one-night spark to a living sisterhood.

Weekly live circles on Zoom, hands-on sessions, not lectures. About 2 to 3 hours a week, and a private space where I'm with you between calls. Built, not theorized.

Clear roles

Who does what, written down, so the work is shared.

Your co-leaders

At least 3 women ready and excited to help you lead.

Your year of gatherings

A full year of gatherings on the calendar.

Reasons to come back

Small ways to stay close between events, and an easy way back for anyone who drifts.

Practices and activities

Ready-made ways to open and close a gathering, ground rules everyone agrees on, and fill-in templates.

A way to get paid

Pricing that works, and helpers who pitch in because they belong, not because they're on payroll.

This is for you if

  • You gather women, or you're ready to start: parties, circles, retreats, workshops, online or in person.
  • You have the capacity to build over the next couple of months.
  • You're coachable and ready to talk directly to the women in your community.

It's not for you if

  • You want a generic, one-size-fits-all course.
  • You want a big audience without tending the relationships underneath it.
  • You want someone to build it for you. We build it with you.

I guarantee the build.

Come to the first two circles. If it's not your path, you get a full refund, no questions. Do the work through all three parts and don't leave with your community set up, and you get a free seat in the next cohort. We keep going until you do.

Results

what happens when it's built.

"I came in with events people loved that somehow didn't stick. I left with a full system: onboarding, experience arc, retention model. Within six weeks I had my first long-term client come directly from inside the community."
Jordan T. · Event producer and community builder
"Daniela operates at two altitudes simultaneously. She's in the details with you, giving you the specific, tactical knowledge that only comes from actually building events and communities on the ground, and she's also at 36,000 feet, seeing the whole architecture. She understands no single event should ever be a dead end. Every touchpoint is a thread in a larger system."

Hi, I'm Daniela

a weaver and a builder, by lineage.

On my mother's side I come from weavers and seamstresses. On my father's side, builders, and some of the most generous hosts I've ever known. I was raised by a village, in New Jersey and in Sicily, so I know in my bones what it feels like to be held by one.

I spent 8 years as a university professor before I realized the most transformative learning I'd seen wasn't happening in classrooms. It was happening in communities. In 2016 I built the Intersectional Feminist Book Club of Oklahoma, which grew to two chapters and became the blueprint for everything after. I went on to be a corporate girlie and people manager at General Assembly, then all in on community building, events and my work as an artist.

I've hosted and produced 60+ events, workshops, festivals and retreats across Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Alabama and New York City: from 1,200-person raves to intimate goddess and medicine retreats, directing two venues in Brooklyn, music-directing a festival, and selling my first event production company in January 2026.

The pattern is always the same. The room can be electric, but if there's no structure underneath it, the connection scatters the moment everyone goes home. Catapult is the structure I wish every host had before she became the whole engine herself.

✦ Why "Catapult"?

Around 2015, a friend on the playa at Burning Man gifted me my playa name: Stardust Catapult. Starcat, for short. It stuck because it's the work. I launch women toward what they're building, and I sprinkle a little stardust on the way up.

How it works

    Build and support

We build it with you, and I stay with you while it takes root.

Questions

good things to ask.

Who is Catapult for?

Women who host, or want to: parties, circles, retreats, workshops, dances, online or in person. If you gather women and want it to last beyond the night, you're in the right place.

What's the free 30-day challenge?

Thirty days, one small step a day, starting November 15. You get bite-size daily homework for your events and community, daily voice notes of wisdom and insight from me, weekly live office hours, and a free, supportive Telegram circle of women who host. When you sign up, you also get into two WhatsApp chats: NYC Community Builders and Promote Your Event NYC.

Do my events need to be in person?

No. All three parts work for in-person, online and hybrid communities. What matters is that women gather, and come back.

When does the cohort start, and how much time does it take?

The next cohort starts Tuesday, January 19, 2027. It takes about 2 to 3 hours a week for 8 weeks: weekly live circles on Zoom plus a private space where I'm with you between calls.

What if it isn't a fit?

Come to the first two circles. If it's not your path, you get a full refund, no questions. Do the work and don't leave with your community set up, and you get a free seat in the next cohort.

Is Catapult just for women?

Yes. Catapult is by a woman, for women who host. The challenge circle, the cohort and the 1:1 work are all women-only spaces.

Do I need to be in New York?

No, you can be based wherever you are! The challenge, the office hours and the cohort all happen online. The two bonus WhatsApp chats are for the New York scene, so they're an extra treat if you host there.

Do I need to already have a community?

No. Whether you're dreaming up your very first gathering or you've been hosting for years, you're welcome here. We start from wherever you are and build from there.

Do I need a big following?

No. A community is about how deeply women connect, not how many people follow you. Ten women who keep coming back are worth more than a thousand who scroll past.

I've never used Telegram. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Telegram is a free messaging app for your phone or computer, a lot like WhatsApp. Before November 15 I'll email you the invite link. Tap it, download the app if you need to, and you're in.

What happens after I sign up for the challenge?

You get a welcome email right away with the links to the two bonus WhatsApp chats. Then, before November 15, I'll send your invite to the Telegram circle, where the calendar, daily steps and office hours live.

What's hot seat coaching?

A group coaching call every other month. One woman at a time takes the hot seat: she brings her event or her sticking point and we work through it live. Everyone else learns from watching, and often finds her own answer too.

What's the difference between the cohort and 1:1?

The cohort is 8 weeks with a small circle of women who host, building your communities side by side. 1:1 is just you and me, shaped around your events, with applications open for Q1 2027.

Where should I start?

Start free. Join the 30-day challenge or grab the 5-Event Rule guide. When you're ready to go deeper, book a Community Deep Audit or apply for 1:1 work in Q1 2027.
